I love the black man.

I love the black man
LOUDLY,
UNAPOLOGETICALLY.
I love the black man,
Admire and adore him.
To love him, is to know him
To see him, for more than he is showing.
To show him, I appreciate his coming and his going.
To acknowledge what he’s been through,
To support what he grows through.
To highlight and hold the light on
What tha brother be glowing through.

I love the black man
LOUDLY,
UNAPOLOGETICALLY
I love the black man
Even when it seems that he hates me.
I understand there’s more to life than what the naked eye can see.
I cannot survive or coexist without him,
But the world needs to understand that he came from me.
A connection so strong, yet so regularly we get each other wrong
So many battles and negative infiltrations as the life cycle has moved along.

I love the black man
LOUDLY,
UNAPOLOGETICALLY.
I love the black man,
Always have, Always will
The first man to teach me pain, break my heart,
To let me down, disappoint, Even then I love him still.

No other woman will understand him like me

An understanding and love with depth, words I cannot find to describe.
A journey we share enroute to knowledge of self
Self-love is the key, it’s the real wealth,
We nurse each other back to health,
Physically, mentally and emotionally too,
Cause they led you to believe that tears weren’t made for you.
Then we return your crown to your crown – you still a King!
Back to the future, as it was in the beginning.

I love the black man
LOUDLY,
UNAPOLOGETICALLY.
